Why Airbrushing is Superior to Wraps

People call airbrushing with paint “old-school” because of the introduction of “vinyl wraps”. These are “stickers”. Vinyl wraps can’t be repaired, fixed, or cleaned if graffitied. It is a pigment, not a paint, and will never last as long.

Airbrushed motel signs 15 years old still look good. Wraps will get 2-3 years looking good, before they need to be replaced. “Wraps” fade after 6 months – there is no competition between AirBrushing and Wraps – NONE!

A 3D image on a sticker can only be “seen” correctly from one viewpoint.

Don’t get tricked into stickers – be in it for the long haul with quality airbrushing!

Public art should not be made with wraps, as they are simply not good enough.

Airbrushing for Business Facades

Creating facades as artifacts. People don’t need to read the words, they SEE what the business is offering. It becomes a feature – even a local iconic landmark – the identifying product or service.

Example 1: ‘Guiseppes Take Away’ – What is his biggest selling item?  – fish and chips. A three-dimensional fish and chip sign was created, featuring as his façade, and his business boomed! He became the local, iconic fish and chip shop and he went from one shop to four shops! If you are in an unfamiliar town & want fish and chips, you are going to go to Guiseppes Take Away – the shop that IDENTIFIES as Fish and Chips.

Example 2: Juice Shop – with metre high fruit & vegetables popping off the wall! Looking for fresh food? It attracted people like a magnet.

Example 3: The Golden Wok – signage is written with a 3D wok full of noodles and chopsticks, this screams “Chinese Food Here!!”

Example 4: Doughnut Shop – The shop owner had a teddy bear as his logo. We turned it into bears coming out of the façade with donuts for everyone – the owner had an unbelievable boost in business!

Example 5: Pie & Pasta shop  – half a pie coming out of the wall on one side, and 3D Pasta bowl on the other.

Example 6: Lolly Shop – facade has a little three-dimensional figure of a man with lots of lollies – incredibly appealing to kids… they literally dragged their parents into the shop!

How 3D Signage For Shop Fronts Works

The business facade, signs and artwork clearly illustrate what the business is selling. There is no necessity to actually read the words, nor have to guess what the business is about. People  are attracted to the easy route – 3D Shop facades do all the work for you – showing your customers what you do and what your main selling items are. They don’t have to scan multiple shop names to find what they are after, nor even the written signage. They know immediately where to go to find what they want. They see food – they go eat!
